How did you discover your passion for what you do, and what opportunities have helped shape your career?

I believe that I can use my confidence, and my enjoyment of reading, writing and public speaking, to make a difference in the world for people who don’t have a voice like myself. I recognize that as an educated woman, I am gifted with a platform that I need to be able to harness and utilize for others who are not as lucky as I am.

Reflecting back on 2020, how did you adapt to so many aspects of life moving virtual?

Adapting to virtual life was difficult, especially with my job. Things move and change so fast that taking the time to send a text message to ask a question often made things move too slowly. I adapted to moving online by taking a lot of walking breaks around the block. I additionally got a cat which helped to keep me company in the long months of being solitary. I would read, find new shows to watch, and I spent long hours on my porch just watching the cars go by.
