American Society for Deaf Children
Delta Zeta named the American Society for Deaf Children (ASDC) as another hearing and speech philanthropy partner in 2021. For over 53 years, ASDC has been dedicated to serving families with Deaf children. As a sorority committed to making a difference in the lives of others, we are proud to support ASDC in its mission to enhance the lives of Deaf children.
Helping Families Connect & Communicate
ASDC recognizes that over 90 percent of Deaf children are born to hearing parents. To bridge the communication gap and promote a stronger bond between parents and deaf children, Delta Zeta’s support of ASDC focuses on helping parents learn American Sign Language (ASL).
Equipping parents with this valuable skill allows the whole family to communicate and connect with their deaf child effectively. Delta Zeta provides ongoing fundraising and other support that help ASDC programs make the world a more inclusive place for everyone.
Delta Zeta and ASDC Partnership
Through our partnership with ASDC, Delta Zeta members can deepen their understanding of ASL, gain insight into deaf culture and become informed and effective allies of the Deaf community. We’ve been at this for over 50 years because we believe fostering inclusivity and promoting awareness is essential to creating a more inclusive society!

There are many ways you can help Delta Zeta support ASDC. You can:
- Donate to our annual fundraising campaign.
- Volunteer your time.
- Take the American Sign Language course offered in The Learning Center, Delta Zeta’s LMS.
- Take any of ASDC’s online American Sign Language courses using our Delta Zeta discount code. Members may reach out to [email protected] to receive the code.
