How did you discover your passion for what you do?

When I look back on my childhood, it wasn’t always a happy one. I was bullied a lot and moved around quite a bit. I struggled to make connections and often felt isolated. My saving grace was constantly having teachers in my life that cared about me, supported me, and told me I could reach my dreams if I worked hard and stayed kind. Because of their kindness, I realized I wanted to be that same buoy of hope for other children, especially in our most vulnerable populations.

Which Delta Zeta shared value resonates with you most, and why?

Generosity does not have to be financial. It can be generosity of your time, your talent, a smile or an ear to listen. My favorite parable is the one of the woman who gave all the money she had to help other people even though she herself was poor. When we pay the goodness we have received forward, we not only make our lives better, but we help repair the world around us.
