records for our sisterhood this year! The 2022 FDC event on October 24-25 raised more than $252,000 supporting scholarships, educational and leadership programming, member development, the Elizabeth Coulter Stephenson emergency grant and many other leadership opportunities for Delta Zeta members.

“The generosity of our donors is what made a successful Founders Day Challenge,” said Karen Campbell, Foundation President. “From the more than 400 first-time donors to the more than 700 alumnae who paid it forward, Delta Zeta’s network has helped to ensure that we can support members in their live pursuits.”

FDC is also supported by a vast network of Advocates, members and friends of Delta Zeta who volunteer their time and amplify the Foundation’s message in their communities. Of the 28 Advocates who spread the pink and green message on Founders Day, some took their support to new levels. Paula Harfst, Kappa-Washington, matched gifts from collegiate members of the Pi Kappa Chapter at the University of Idaho while Michelle Albrecht Smith, Alpha Chi-California/Los Angeles, once again challenged Delta Zeta moms to give with her match challenge. Finally, there was Christi Schneeberger Mayer, Kappa Mu-Shepherd (WV), who took out all the stops and, despite her loathing of glitter, took a bucketful of the stuff over the head when her donors hit the challenge she set for them!

“We know that our members and friends truly love Delta Zeta,” shared Alicia Favata, Chief Advancement Officer. “And, celebrating our birthday together by supporting an organization we love makes this achievement that much more special.”
