How did you discover your passion for what you do, and what opportunities have helped shape your career?

My passion for advocating for the profession of pharmacy originated through my passion for patient care.

Endless hours spent vaccinating my community throughout the pandemic instilled in me a deep appreciation for the role of pharmacists and the vital nature of the services we provide. These experiences inspired me to scale my impact beyond the individual patient level and demonstrated the need to engage pharmacists in shaping policies that affect how we practice.

Who has been an invaluable mentor for your professional career? What did you learn from them?

My older sister, Kaitlin, inspired me to become both a Delta Zeta and a pharmacist. Through her constant support and encouragement, she has demonstrated how to embody the Delta Zeta values both personally and professionally.

How do you make sure you stay connected with your professional network?

Throughout the pandemic, LinkedIn and other online platforms were a great way to stay in touch with my professional community. Now, I am enjoying meeting in-person for coffee or lunch to reestablish face-to-face relationships.

How have friendships helped you professionally? Is there a friend (or Delta Zeta sister) that has been behind you every step of the way on your career journey?

My friendships made through Delta Zeta have long outlived our time on campus. My sisters have continued to be my best friends, confidants and cheerleaders as we each forge our individual career paths.
