What opportunities have helped shape your career?

I currently have the opportunity to marry two of my favorite things: relationship building and helping others win with their money. Every job I’ve had up until this point has helped me become a better communicator, a better listener and a more empathetic individual. I use these skills every day in my current role and will for the rest of my life. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to also work for a company that’s entire mission is to empower others to win with their money. I get to build relationships while on a mission for a cause that changed my life. Nothing could be better!

What words of wisdom or advice do you live by?

Just keep showing up. Even if you’re not sure why you’re there or how to do the thing you’re being called to do, keep showing up and learning. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. A friend of mine always says, “if you’re not growing, you’re dead,” and I think that really sums it up so well.

How do you make sure you stay connected with your professional network?

I think it’s always a good idea to have a mentor in your field. Having someone to learn from that is in a similar area that you’re interested in growing into is crucial to professional development. It’s also important to have good connections with peers in your field as well. LinkedIn makes this easy in a virtual setting. I’m incredibly blessed to work for a large company with a culture of leadership and personal development, so it is easy to find small peer groups and mentors.
