More Than Four: Jennifer Scoggins’ Journey Back to Sisterhood

We’re thrilled to spotlight Jennifer Scoggins, Lambda Alpha-Arkansas Tech University, for her continued dedication to leadership and sisterhood. After joining the Delta Zeta alumnae trip to Spain, Jennifer rediscovered the connections and friendships that made her collegiate experience so meaningful — and it all began with a leap of faith.

“I’d always wanted to travel but was afraid to go alone,” Jennifer shared. “This opportunity provided the means to go, and I wasn’t alone. I was with sisters.”

From wandering the streets of Barcelona to laughing through a torrential rainstorm on the very first day, Jennifer found herself surrounded by women who felt like lifelong friends. Inspired by this renewed sense of sisterhood, Jennifer soon stepped into the role of College Chapter Director (CCD) for Wake Forest University, giving back to Delta Zeta in the same spirit of generosity and support she had once received.

“I want to give my time and love for DZ to the younger generations,” she explained.

What surprised her most about returning to Delta Zeta life?

“It felt like no time had passed since I graduated. We already had one thing in common: we are Delta Zetas.”

Her advice for alumnae looking to reconnect is simple: join an alumnae chapter, volunteer your time, attend an Everlasting event and be as involved as life permits. Looking ahead, Jennifer reflects on what Delta Zeta means to her now:

“You spend the majority of your years in DZ as an alumna. ‘More than four’ means more to me now than ever.”
