My law professors and colleagues have been instrumental in mentoring me, from how to apply to internships to how to prepare for a trial. I have learned that many people are willing to help you along the way, all you have to do is ask.
How did you discover your passion and what opportunities have helped shape your curiosity for what you do?
I discovered my passion early on. From a young age, I was interest in the law, so I took classes and joined activities in those areas. I worked at a law firm while I was an undergrad, first as a file clerk and later as a legal assistant. It was my time at this law firm that solidified my interest in becoming an attorney.

My best friend is my Delta Zeta sister, Arieana Martinez. She is also an attorney and she has been along for the journey every step of the way. From applying to law school, to studying for the bar exam and passing together. She has been unwavering in her support along my career journey.
What does empowerment mean to you, and how have you worked to empower others in your career or personal life?
Empowerment means uplifting others when they are not able to uplift themselves. I always make it a point to raise up others who are doing well and make sure that they get the credit when credit is due. This is particularly important in the professional world, as it can help them along in their career.
What does it mean to you to create an environment of belonging for others, and how do you carry that lesson into your personal and professional life?
Making others feel like they belong is of utmost importance to me both in my personal and professional life. In my personal life, I enjoy being there for my friends and family when they need kindness and a helping hand. In my professional life as a lawyer, I strive to make my firm an inviting place where my clients can seek legal assistance without judgment.
