Delta Zeta Names Jim Paponetti as New Executive Vice President, Operations

(Oxford, Ohio) Delta Zeta Sorority has named Jim Paponetti as its new Executive Vice President, Operations, effective January 1, 2025. In this role, Paponetti will work in partnership with Chief Executive Officer Cindy Menges and Executive Vice President John Gottschall to support the executive management of Delta Zeta Sorority, Foundation and National Housing Corporation. 

With more than 20 years of experience in fraternity and sorority leadership, Paponetti brings extensive expertise in organizational transformation, strategic operations and non-profit management to the new role. 

“Jim’s impressive experience serving the fraternity and sorority community makes him a tremendous asset to all of us at Delta Zeta,” said Cindy Menges, Chief Executive Officer. “His proven ability to foster organizational growth and champion innovation will enhance our capacity to deliver impactful experiences for our members and positively influence lives through our philanthropic efforts around the world.” 

Paponetti joins Delta Zeta following a 15-year tenure as the first Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority. His visionary leadership transformed the organization’s operations and enhanced its strategic focus by expanding professional staff and creating key initiatives that include the Illuminate Member Development Program and the Alpha Sigma Tau Women’s Wellness Initiative. He also led the creation of a new philanthropic program through the Alpha Sigma Tau National Foundation that enabled thousands of donors the opportunity to support the Sorority.

Paponetti’s extensive career also includes serving as Associate Executive Director for Sigma Lambda Beta Fraternity and Sigma Lambda Gamma Sorority, as well as Director of Member Services and Educational Leadership Consultant for his own fraternity, Phi Kappa Psi. 

Paponetti holds a Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from St. Ambrose University. He also received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Ashland University.
