The Delta Zeta Foundation is thrilled to announce the launch of a brand new grant program that will significantly expand the support and empowerment of members in their lifelong journey of personal and professional growth.

Recognizing that a traditional college degree is only one of many paths to professional success, the new Continuing Education and Certification Grant program now makes it possible for Delta Zeta women to receive financial assistance for the completion of a specific training, licensure, certificate or exam in addition to the currently available undergraduate and graduate scholarships.

Designed to alleviate the financial burden of professional development for members looking for career advancement, career change or return to work opportunities, the new Continuing Education and Certification Grant covers up to 75% of program costs not exceeding $1,000.

Delta Zeta Foundation Continuing Education and Certification Grant details

  • Applications are open year-round and reviewed quarterly in January, April, July and October.
  • Eligible programs include coding bootcamps; CPA, CFP or PMP certifications; yoga teacher training; real estate licensure; lactation consultant exams and many more.
  • Applications must be submitted within 90 days of program completion and include proof of completion.
  • Members may apply more than once, provided financial need is demonstrated, for a lifetime maximum grant amount of $1,000.

“When I was ready to start a family, the restrictive 9:00–5:00 schedule that I had felt ominous. I didn’t know how I would juggle it all and started to explore other career options. However, everything I felt passionate about required additional education and certifications. When I decided to pursue my mortgage officer license, I almost didn’t do it because of the cost; at the time I didn’t have much expendable income. Financial support through a grant like this would have been life-changing for me, and I would have started this journey much sooner.” —Kelly Cofiell Turner, Pi Beta-University of Hartford, Assistant Branch Manager, Total Mortgages Services LLC
