Delta Zeta Women's Membership Organization | Delta Zeta Sorority

(Oxford, Ohio) – The Delta Zeta Foundation is honored to announce the appointment of three new members to the Board of Trustees. Please join us in congratulating Cindy Andrew-Formica, Kappa Theta–Virginia Tech, Sara Procter Carruthers, Alpha–Miami (OH) and Leigh Wright, Lambda Kappa–Alabama Huntsville.

Cindy Andrew-Formica

Cindy Andrew-Formica, Kappa Theta–Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State, has served as a tireless volunteer in Delta Zeta for decades. An avid volunteer and engaged community member, Cindy has received multiple honors, including the Achoth Award, which recognizes Delta Zeta alumnae for long and faithful service. She has supported Kappa Theta in multiple roles including Collegiate Chapter Director and remained active in both the Richmond and Atlanta Alumnae Chapters, including serving as President of the Atlanta Alumnae Panhellenic Association. In her Trustee role, Cindy will also leverage years of professional hospital and corporate experience along with organizational and governance expertise gained from years of nonprofit board and hospital volunteer work.

Sara Procter Carruthers

Sara Procter Carruthers, Alpha–Miami (OH), has dedicated many years to Delta Zeta through a wide range of leadership and volunteer roles. She has served as Alpha Chapter Collegiate Chapter Director, Foundation Trustee—including taking on the Secretary/Treasurer role—and has played an important role as an undergraduate scholarship reader. To her role as a Trustee, Sara brings extensive experience in governance, finance and organizational leadership. Her professional and community work spans broadcast media, public service and nonprofit boards, including the Hamilton Community Foundation, the Michael Feinstein Great American Songbook Foundation and the Fort Hamilton Hospital Foundation. She also served in the Ohio House of Representatives and currently serves on the Ohio State Board of Education.

 Leigh Wright

Leigh Wright, Lambda Kappa–Alabama/Huntsville, has been a leader in Delta Zeta from day one. As a collegian, her leadership earned her the Grace Mason Lundy Award, and as an alumna, she has worn nearly every hat in the Huntsville Alumnae Chapter—from Vice President of Membership and Programs to President to Secretary. Her dedication hasn’t gone unnoticed: she is an Achoth Award recipient and has supported Lambda Kappa members as Collegiate Chapter Director, Financial Advisor, New Member Advisor, House Corporation President and Philanthropy Advisor—a role she still holds today. A small business owner for more than 30 years, Leigh also brings strategic leadership, financial expertise and a proven ability to grow and manage organizations to her role as a Trustee.
