Which of the Delta Zeta shared values resonates with you the most?Generosity
Tell us about a defining moment in your career so far – how did it impact your future and what did you learn from it?
One defining moment in my career came early at my job, Lewis, when changes within our Business Intelligence department led me to take on more responsibility sooner than expected. I had to grow quickly beyond coordinator-level support into helping shape how research informed client strategy, agency recommendations and business decisions. That experience taught me to look beyond the task in front of me by asking better questions, drawing on others’ expertise, and shaping findings into a clear story that helps clients move forward and grow. Five years later, I can see how it made me a more thoughtful strategist and stronger partner to clients and teams.
What advice would you give Delta Zeta sisters pursuing leadership roles in your field?
Find work that genuinely excites you, then commit to doing it well. My mom always told me extra credit isn’t optional, and I’ve carried that with me. To me, that does not mean saying yes to everything or sacrificing balance. It means staying a little longer to help when it matters, showing up to the event even when your pajamas sound better and taking the opportunity seriously when someone gives you a chance to grow. People notice consistency, curiosity and commitment. Those are the qualities that build trust, open doors and prepare you for leadership.
How has being a Delta Zeta influenced your professional journey or approach to leadership?
Delta Zeta gave me an early foundation for how I show up as a professional and leader. It taught me that involvement is not something you do until graduation, but a way to keep investing in your community throughout your life. Through Delta Zeta, I learned how to build relationships, show up as myself with confidence and contribute to something bigger than myself. It also gave me a lifelong sisterhood of women I can learn from, lean on and celebrate with. That foundation has stayed with me in my career and the way I try to support others.
