Which of the Delta Zeta shared values resonates with you the most? Community

Tell us about a defining moment in your career so far – how did it impact your future and what did you learn from it?

A defining moment in my career was being invited to join the Board of Directors for Karnival Krewe de Louisiane, a nonprofit Mardi Gras krewe and longtime client in the Baton Rouge area. Since its founding, the organization has raised more than $6 million to support local cancer research and patient care. Being asked to serve by an organization I had worked alongside was incredibly meaningful. It reinforced that leadership is built on trust, integrity and relationships, and reminded me that the greatest professional impact often comes from serving your community beyond your job title.

What advice would you give Delta Zeta sisters pursuing leadership roles in your field?

Do not be afraid to let your professional and personal worlds intersect. Some of the most meaningful and unexpected opportunities in my career have come from building genuine relationships and getting involved in my community beyond the workplace. You never know where one connection may lead, whether it is a new opportunity, a lifelong mentor, or a chance to make a lasting impact. Lead with authenticity, invest in people, and trust that your work and your purpose can grow together.

How has being a Delta Zeta influenced your professional journey or approach to leadership?

Delta Zeta has influenced my professional journey in ways that are truly immeasurable. One of the reasons I was able to secure the role I have today was the hands-on leadership and marketing experience I gained as the social media manager for our Sigma Chapter philanthropy, Miss LSU USA. Beyond college, I have continued to meet Delta Zeta sisters throughout my career, and every encounter has been met with encouragement, mentorship, or a willingness to help. The Delta Zeta network has opened doors, strengthened my confidence and reminded me that our sisterhood extends far beyond graduation.
