Which of the Delta Zeta shared values resonates with you the most?Community
Tell us about a defining moment in your career so far – how did it impact your future and what did you learn from it?
A defining moment in my career was leading activation marketing for Krispy Kreme’s Times Square flagship opening. As COVID-19 unfolded and New York became the epicenter, our plans no longer fit the moment, and we had to pause, listen and rebuild. That experience pushed me to lead with empathy and urgency, working closely with partners to show up safely and meaningfully. When New Yorkers shared that the opening gave them a sense of joy, it reinforced that adaptability matters most when it’s rooted in what people need. Today, it shapes how I lead with flexibility, empathy and a focus on meaningful impact.
What advice would you give Delta Zeta sisters pursuing leadership roles in your field?
My advice is to find a mentor who sees your potential and is willing to advocate for you before you fully see it yourself. Some of the most important relationships in my career started as managers and grew into trusted mentors — lifelong friends who opened doors and gave me a seat at the table early. Be intentional about sharing what you want to learn and where you want to grow. Have those conversations openly with your leaders,and say yes to opportunities, big and small, because the experience you gain from doing the work is what prepares you for what comes next.
How has being a Delta Zeta influenced your professional journey or approach to leadership?
Being a Delta Zeta has shaped both my network and how I show up as a leader. There’s an instant connection when I meet othersorority women, whether it’s over something small like a DZ cup or a quick conversation that turns into something more meaningful. The biggest impact has come through volunteering, where I’ve built confidence by supporting collegiate women, working through challenges together, and learning alongside other volunteers. Those experiences helped me see myself as a leader of people, not just projects, and gave me the confidence to take the next step in my career.
