Which of the Delta Zeta shared values resonates with you the most? Empowerment

Can you share a brief 5-7 sentence biography about yourself, highlight key moments in your career that have shaped who you are today?

I am a strategic operations manager in the real estate industry who is passionate about driving growth, improving efficiency and empowering others. Real estate has been a part of my life from the beginning — growing up in a family deeply rooted in the industry, I watched my parents run a business dedicated to helping first-time and lower-income homeowners achieve their dreams.

My career began in real estate sales and relocation, where I developed a deep understanding of market dynamics and client needs. Transitioning into operations, I found my niche in helping franchise owners and agents scale their businesses through strategic initiatives and technology. Now, at Coldwell Banker, I have the privilege of working for an industry-leading company that is committed to innovation, growth and agent success. These experiences, along with my early exposure to real estate, have shaped my passion for driving meaningful impact and creating opportunities in a constantly evolving market.

Who has been an invaluable mentor for your professional career? What did you learn from this friendship?

One of my most invaluable mentors is my current manager, Kelly Reiss. She has challenged me to think more strategically, push past perceived limitations and continuously strive for excellence. From her, I’ve learned the power of asking the right questions, making data-driven decisions and leading with authenticity. Her guidance has shaped my ability to balance forward-thinking strategies with a people-first approach, ensuring that impact and innovation go hand-in-hand.

How did you discover your passion and what opportunities have helped shape your curiosity for what you do?

My passion for real estate was shaped by my upbringing — my entire family was in the industry, and my parents owned a business dedicated to helping first-time and lower-income homeowners achieve their dreams. However, I didn’t always see myself following the same path. Instead, I pursued a master’s degree in higher education, driven by my passion for working with college students. When I graduated during the COVID-19 pandemic, I pivoted my job search and found myself in real estate, unexpectedly reconnecting with my roots. What started as a practical career move quickly became a true passion. I’ve loved every moment of helping businesses and entrepreneurs grow, and I haven’t looked back since. This industry has allowed me to blend my love for strategy, education and community impact in ways I never could have imagined.

Looking ahead in your career, how do you envision continuing to incorporate generosity into your leadership style and professional endeavors?

For me, generosity in leadership means sharing knowledge, creating opportunities and uplifting those around me. I will continue mentoring future leaders, advocating for equity and ensuring my work drives meaningful change within my organization and industry. Leading NextGen, an employee resource group focused on professional growth and career development, has reinforced the importance of collaboration and supporting others as I grow. At its core, generosity is about fostering connections, breaking down barriers, and contributing to an environment where people feel valued and empowered to succeed.

How has your community helped you professionally? Is there a friend (or Delta Zeta sister) that has been behind you every step of the way on your career journey?

My community has been instrumental in my success, shaping my growth both personally and professionally. From colleagues who have challenged and inspired me to my Delta Zeta sisters who have been unwavering supporters, I am grateful for the network that has uplifted me throughout my career. Alison Templeman, in particular, has been a guiding force at every stage, serving as a mentor, a trusted advisor and a constant source of encouragement. Her support has given me the confidence to take risks, step into leadership roles and drive meaningful change.

What does empowerment mean to you, and how have you worked to empower others in your career or personal life?

To me, empowerment means equipping people with the tools, confidence, and support they need to achieve their goals. One of the most meaningful ways I put this into action is by serving as a mentor for the TN Promise Scholarship Program, where I help high school students—many from at-risk and underserved backgrounds—navigate the transition to post-secondary education. This program provides critical support to students who may not otherwise have access to higher education opportunities. Seeing them gain the confidence to pursue their dreams reinforces my belief that true empowerment comes from investing in others and ensuring they have the guidance and resources to succeed.

What does it mean to you to create an environment of belonging for others, and how do you carry that lesson into your personal and professional life?

Creating an environment of belonging means fostering a culture where people feel valued, respected and included. In my professional life, I work to ensure that my work leads to positive, tangible change for others. I strive to make sure people — regardless of their background — feel like they have a place can succeed in. Belonging isn’t just about inclusion, it’s about creating spaces where every person feels empowered and equipped to contribute in a meaningful way.
