Which of the Delta Zeta shared values resonates with you the most? Generosity

Tell us about a defining moment in your career so far – how did it impact your future and what did you learn from it?

A defining moment in my career occurred when I was asked to lead a high visibility training program at KeyBank with significant organizational impact. It pushed me to stretch my skills, trust my voice and navigate complex stakeholder needs. The success of that initiative showed me that I could lead at scale  and that learning can transform both people and performance. I learned the importance of clarity, empathy and adaptability, and those lessons now guide my work in corporate learning, higher education and philanthropy.

What advice would you give Delta Zeta sisters pursuing leadership roles in your field?

My advice is to lead in a way that lifts others. In every role I’ve held, the most meaningful leadership has come from creating belonging, encouraging growth and modeling the values we learned in Delta Zeta. Say yes to opportunities that scare you a little  they’re usually the ones that shape you. Surround yourself with people who challenge and support you and be that person for someone else. Leadership in my field is about service, empathy and continuous learning. When you lead with heart, people follow because they feel seen and supported.

How has being a Delta Zeta influenced your professional journey or approach to leadership?

Delta Zeta influenced my leadership by instilling a deep commitment to service, authenticity and lifelong learning. Those values shape how I design trainings for both adult learners and student leaders. DZ taught me to lead with empathy, communicate with clarity and create environments where people feel genuinely supported and empowered. It also gave me early opportunities to practice leadership  experiences that built my confidence and helped me understand the kind of leader I wanted to become. The way I show up professionally is a reflection of the values, community and sense of purpose Delta Zeta gave me.
