Tell us about a defining moment in your career so far – how did it impact your future and what did you learn from it?
A defining moment in my career was realizing I thrive in roles where I can bring structure, creativity and momentum to growing organizations. After beginning at Zelen Communications, I was recruited in 2021 as Marketing Coordinator at Sylvan Road Capital, a Private Equity (PE) Real Estate Investment Firm, where I supported acquisitions and dispositions. In 2024, I was recruited to Hyde Park Capital, an Investment Banking (IB) firm, as Marketing Manager in a newly created role. Today, I use traditional & digital marketing to support business development, visibility and community impact. Being recruited into both PE and IB taught me how to be a trailblazer.
What advice would you give Delta Zeta sisters pursuing leadership roles in your field?
My advice to Delta Zeta sisters pursuing leadership roles in marketing, Private Equity , Investment Banking , or any competitive field is to stay curious, follow trends and trust the process. Early in your career, not every opportunity will feel glamorous, but each one can teach you something valuable. At Sylvan Road Capital, I raised my hand to support the implementation of DealCloud, which helped me build a skill later used in my role as Marketing Manager at Hyde Park Capital. I think of this as a win-win-win: you grow, the organization benefits, and partners, clients, or end users are better served.
How has being a Delta Zeta influenced your professional journey or approach to leadership?
Delta Zeta taught me the importance of giving back to the community and using leadership as a way to serve others. I carry that value into my role as Marketing Manager at Hyde Park Capital, where our team supports philanthropic efforts through volunteering with organizationssuch as Feeding Tampa Bay and Metropolitan Ministries. Those experiencesshaped how I view leadership as both professional growth and positive impact. Delta Zeta also influenced the way I value connection and legacy, which inspired my role as Executive Producer of Props With Pop, a podcast I created with my Pops in 2024 to preserve his advice, stories and perspective.
