Which of the Delta Zeta shared values resonates with you the most? Community

Tell us about a defining moment in your career so far – how did it impact your future and what did you learn from it?

One of the most defining moments in my career was joining a large national law firm and the opportunity to work on sophisticated, high-stakes litigation matters alongside talented attorneys and mentors. That experience accelerated my professional growth and showed me the value of collaboration, mentorship and continuous learning. As I took on greater responsibility, I gained confidence in my abilities and developed a deeper appreciation for leadership and relationship-building. It inspired me to become more intentional about mentoring others and investing in my professional development. This experience has taught me that growth comes from embracing challenges and being open to new opportunities.

What advice would you give Delta Zeta sisters pursuing leadership roles in your field?

One of the best pieces of advice I have received is to “be your own sponsor.” In other wordsseek out opportunities proactively and embrace them before you feel fully ready, rather than waiting for them to come to you. Some of the greatest growth comes from stepping outside your comfort zone, taking on new challenges and trusting yourself to learn along the way. I would also encourage young professionals to invest in relationships with mentors and peers, as those connections can provide valuable guidance and support throughout their careers. Leadership is built through initiative, continuous learning and a commitment to helping others succeed.

How has being a Delta Zeta influenced your professional journey or approach to leadership?

Delta Zeta gave me some of my earliest leadership opportunities and helped me develop the confidence to step into roles that challenged me. Through my involvement, I learned the importance of collaboration, service and building meaningful relationships. Those lessons have carried into my professional career as a commercial litigation attorney, where success often depends on teamwork, mentorship and strong communication. Delta Zeta alsshowed me the value of supporting and empowering other women, which continues to influence my approach to leadership today. I strive to lead by example, invest in the development of others, and create opportunities for those coming behind me.
