(Oxford, Ohio) At Delta Zeta’s National Convention and Everlasting event held July 31 – August 2, 2025 in Orlando, Florida, members gathered to celebrate the heart of the organization’s mission during the philanthropy celebration and Hike for Hearing and Speech kickoff. During the event, Abbie Rees, Director of Community Relations and Philanthropy, proudly shared the incredible impact members have made over the last biennium; a true testament to the passion, service and generosity that define Delta Zeta.

In the last biennium alone, our members have collectively raised $3,208,668 and dedicated 685,111 hours of community service to our philanthropic causes. These numbers tell a powerful story and represent far more than dollars raised; they symbolize the lives changed, the communities strengthened and the difference Delta Zeta makes possible locally and globally.

Here’s how their generosity is making an impact for our partners:

  • Starkey Hearing Foundation: $1,359,089.79
  • American Society for Deaf Children: $389,797.93
  • SeriousFun Children’s Network: $391,158.12
  • Delta Zeta Foundation (through your philanthropic events): $318,789.09
  • Local philanthropic partners and local organizations: $749,833.63

The celebration also marked the launch of the brand-new Hike for Hearing and Speech Toolkit, designed to make it easier than ever for chapters to host their own events and raise awareness for hearing and speech while supporting our partners, Starkey Hearing Foundation and the American Society for Deaf Children.

The Hike for Hearing and Speech Toolkit is a comprehensive resource that includes sponsorship and potential business partner letter templates, ready to use social media graphics, official logos, fact sheets, brand guidelines and a complete event planning guide. With these tools, chapters can confidently plan walks, hikes or runs that unite sisters, engage their communities, and raise awareness for hearing protection and communication access.

Together, we bring the vision of Delta Zeta to life: to be a global women’s organization whose shared values truly inspire action and impact lives.

Chapters planning to host philanthropy events can visit the Hike for Hearing and Speech website page to download the toolkit and get started.
