At Delta Zeta, we see philanthropy as a powerful force for good. Through our efforts, we champion hearing health, celebrate Deaf culture and American Sign Language, and deliver life-changing support through hearing and speech. We are equally committed to supporting the education and development of the next generation of changemakers in the fields of hearing and speech.
Together with our global philanthropy partner, Starkey Hearing Foundation, we are committed to empowering individuals with hearing and speech needs, and ensuring they can access the support and resources they need.
Supporting Hearing & Speech
Delta Zeta members actively support our hearing and speech philanthropy efforts by creating personal fundraising pages that allow them to share their personal connection to the cause, raise awareness and invite others to make a difference.
Friends, family and community members can visit these pages to learn more and make a donation. Every contribution helps expand access to hearing aids, speech therapy, education of the next generation of changemakers, and resources related to hearing and speech.
By supporting our members’ personal fundraising efforts, you become an integral part of our mission to make a lasting difference in the quality of life for those with hearing loss and speech challenges.
Starkey Hearing Foundation
Everyone deserves the opportunity to communicate effectively and participate fully in society. We support Starkey Hearing Foundation, to help provide hearing healthcare around the world. They focus on the training, educating and capacity building of the next generation of hearing care professionals in the developing world, who then give the gift of hearing to people in need. Since our partnership began, Delta Zeta has raised over $7.6 million for Starkey Hearing Foundation.
Heart for Hearing and Speech Day
Heart For Hearing and Speech Day holds a special place in our calendar. It is an annual event on the first Tuesday in May, coinciding with the start of National Speech-Language- Hearing Month. This inspiring day brings our sisters across the country closer together as we unite in our collective mission to make a difference through hearing and speech.
HIKE FOR HEARING AND SPEECH
Hike for Hearing and Speech is a signature Delta Zeta event that gathers sisters, family, friends and community members to support our mission of raising awareness for Hearing and Speech.
