Global Ambassador Society
The Global Ambassador Society is a community of dedicated members who have made a meaningful impact through their support of our global philanthropy, hearing and speech, our hearing and speech partners: Starkey Hearing Foundation, and/or with our global service project: SeriousFun Children’s Network.
Global Ambassadors are passionate members who stay actively involved, help amplify our mission and inspire others to serve — a powerful reflection of Delta Zeta core values. As a member of the Global Ambassador Society, you become part of a community of passionate changemakers like yourself. Benefits of membership include the opportunity to:

Impactful Missions
We have accomplished missions to countries like Honduras and the Dominican Republic through our partnership with Starkey Hearing Foundation. These missions and our dedicated involvement at SeriousFun camps around the world provide life-changing experiences for the recipients and our Global Ambassadors.
A Global Ambassador and Sigma-Louisiana State member, she reflected on the powerful impact of her experience during a Starkey Hearing mission in the Dominican Republic.
“Nothing in my life has made a more impactful impression on me than my time spent with the Starkey Hearing Foundation in the Dominican Republic. It was during that week I gained the most profound testimony of not just the goodness and sincerity of their work but of Delta Zeta’s commitment to service. The women in this organization mean it when they say they will help, and I’m honored to be counted among them. My hope for our community is that every Delta Zeta woman has an opportunity to spend time with the Starkey Hearing Foundation in a moment of service because I can assure you, you will never be the same.”
A Global Ambassador and a member of Alpha Rho-Ohio Wesleyan, has spent multiple summers volunteering for various SeriousFun camps. Her experience has been transformative:
“I’ve volunteered for SeriousFun as a cabin counselor, family sidekick and activity counselor. In 2018, I volunteered at the Painted Turtle’s Sibling Session. Though assigned at random, I couldn’t be more thankful, as I didn’t realize how much I would relate to these children — siblings of campers with medical conditions or who have attended camp. I have a sibling with a chronic condition, so I was able to connect and relate my childhood experience to theirs.
For some, it was their first week to be a kid and not act in a caregiving role. Seeing their joy and helping create that magical environment was life changing. When reunited with their families, you could see them shift back into that helper mindset.
Since then, I’ve visited Camp Boggy Creek and volunteered at Flying Horse Farms’ Colorectal and Burn Unit Day Camps, working with Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
At Boggy Creek, there’s a wall that asks, ‘What Does Boggy Mean to You?”’Campers write: ‘A Home Away from Home,’ ‘A place that teaches you that you matter, that you are loved, and that being you is perfect,’ ‘Magic,’ and ‘everything.’ You can truly feel the magic at camp. I highly recommend volunteering to help create that magic.”
A Global Ambassador and Rho-Denver (CO) member, shared her profound experience during a Starkey Hearing mission in Honduras:
"I've never done anything as important as this mission! Hearing truly is a gift; what Starkey gives back is incredible and life changing. The love and dedication from the team were amazing, and it really showed in how many patients we were able to serve."
A dedicated member of our Global Ambassador Society and a member of Zeta Kappa-Ohio Northern, has spent multiple summers volunteering at The Painted Turtle. Her experience has been transformative:
"There is nothing that makes my heart soar more than hearing one of them exclaim, 'I did it!' after trying something new or 'This is the best week ever!' My weeks spent at camp are hands down the best weeks of my life."
