In December 2021, western Kentucky was devastated by multiple tornados. The town of Bowling Green, Kentucky, the home of the Pi Chi Chapter at Western Kentucky University, experienced significant damage. While the campus was safe, much of the surrounding area would never be the same. Rachel Beckett, Vice President of New Member of Education, was safe on campus, but her family home suffered significant damage. The chapter organized an online fundraiser to help cover the cost of what they lost and the medical bills they have endured. The chapter surpassed $11,500 in donations. “We see the value of this sisterhood every day,” says Holly Buske, LAMP Editor, “In hard times, we are especially thankful to have so many sisters to lean on.”
