Donor Profile – Jacqui Lyon
When Jacqui Snyder Lyon, Theta, The Ohio State University, moved to a new state not knowing anyone, Delta Zeta sisters were the first friends she made. That move, combined with reflecting on all the great Delta Zeta memories she had, encouraged her giving to the Delta Zeta Foundation.
“The first friends I made in my new area were Delta Zetas,” Jacqui said. “Although they were all about 20 years older than I was, I felt included. Restarting the Memphis Alumnae Chapter helped me get acquainted with a new city and meet new people.”
A 2012 graduate of The Ohio State University, Jacqui began supporting the Delta Zeta Foundation as a member of the 1902 Loyalty Society, our exclusive undergraduate giving society. Her commitment to Delta Zeta, and to the Delta Zeta Foundation, continues today.
“It is important for all Delta Zetas to support the Delta Zeta Foundation because it keeps the organization, that we all love so much, running,” Jacqui said.
A member of the Crest Circle, Jacqui has sponsored a $1,000 Match gift for the Theta Chapter since the first Founders Day Challenge (Day of Giving) in 2018.
“I continue to give to the Delta Zeta Foundation because of how much Delta Zeta has given me,” Jacqui said. “I sponsor a Founders Day Challenge Match in hopes to get more women to give and reflect on their Delta Zeta experience.”
Jacqui currently works as the Marketing Manager for Beau Rivage Resort & Casino, and she is pursuing her master’s degree in hospitality management from the University of Nevada/Las Vegas. She continues her Delta Zeta involvement as the Membership Selection Tool Lead and as a member of Delta Zeta’s RFM team. She resides in Ocean Springs, MS.
