How did you discover your passion for what you do, and what opportunities have helped shape your career?

My passion for Service Members, Veterans and their families runs in my blood. My family has served all the way back to the Revolutionary War. My passion for suicide prevention comes from my love of research and people. Really, suicide prevention is people being humans to one another. 

What words of wisdom or advice do you live by?

Look for the good in all people because it is there. Do not judge someone for what they did in the past for we are all growing organisms and deserve grace. No one is beyond saving.
