How do you continue to grow and be a lifelong learner?

I have spent a lot of my adult life continuing my education in formal and informal ways. One of my major accomplishments was obtaining my MBA in 2017. It took me awhile to go back to school and even longer than I anticipated to finish, but I made it! In addition to the MBA, I have sought out learning opportunities from all kinds of sources. I love to read, listen to podcasts, attend community events and, most importantly, I love talking to people and learning about what interests them. I’ve found this to be one of the most rewarding ways to learn something new and build a network at the same time.

What words of wisdom do you live by?

Be honest, and always be able to look yourself in the mirror at the end of the day. I aim to live my life in a way that will make my family proud and always stick to my moral compass. We all have to live with the decisions that we make and how we interact with others, so my goal is to do the best work possible, while also lifting up those around me in order to bring everyone to a greater level of success.

What is your favorite thing to do outside of work?

My favorite thing to do outside of work is to spend time with my family. I have four-year-old twins, and I’m still their favorite person in the world – I’m capitalizing on that position by indulging in all of their requests for walks, park visits and ice cream runs in the summertime! I know that one day I will be less interesting to them, so I’m soaking up all the memories while they are available. Outside of spending time with my family, I enjoy practicing yoga as a way to turn off my mind and stay in shape.
