Participant Checklist
Before the Event
- Update your LinkedIn profile and connect to Delta Zeta National Sorority.
- Review the table leader and speaker pages on deltazeta.org, and send messages via LinkedIn to those individuals whom you would like to meet.
- Prepare your 2-3 minute “elevator speech” about yourself: who you are, what you do, your goals for the event.
- Prepare a Contact Card on your phone that you can send electronically instead of exchanging business cards.
- Update your resume and bring 5-10 copies to share if you are currently looking for employment.
- Prepare questions on the topics you chose for your roundtable sessions.
Day of the Event
- Don’t forget your government ID to get through security.
- Arrive early. Doors will close at 10:15 a.m. so that programming can start promptly at 10:30 a.m. Please plan to arrive at 9:00 a.m. to allow time for morning networking.
- Dress professionally. We are asking all to wear business attire. Don’t forget your badge!
- Please bring something to take notes. You won’t want to forget important information!
- Bring business cards or have your Contact Card on your phone ready to exchange with others.
- Keep a written record of the actions you will take following the conference.
- Use social media to promote tips learned by using #trulyconnected and tag Delta Zeta.
After the Event
- Follow up! Refer to your notes and follow up on any action items or goals you made for yourself.
- Connect on LinkedIn or follow up with individuals who you met at the event.
- Post your photos from the event, and tag Delta Zeta so we can promote.
