Delta Zeta members work at the grassroots level to improve the environment, educate the public on what they can do and help them do it, and empower those they impact with the knowledge that just one person can make a difference and enrich our planet.

(Oxford, OH)  Today, Delta Zeta Sorority launches a new philanthropic effort aimed at empowering its members to lead and perform community service-related projects intent on improving the environment and educating those around them about how they can do the same. The Sorority enriches the lives of women on campuses and in communities all across the world through friendships, leadership development opportunities, the pursuit of academic excellence and a commitment to community service. Delta Zeta has been involved in philanthropic work since their founding and continues to support many philanthropic and charitable programs today.

"Our students are already environmentally aware," says Michelle Smith, Delta Zeta National President. "Pink Goes Green simply connects that awareness with their leadership skills to promote environmentally conscious programs and campaigns on their campuses and in their community."  She adds that many of the Sorority's alumnae members are already giving back to their communities and that by participating in Pink Goes Green, they potentially can make a broader difference and on larger scale.

Members can find resources and programming support at the Pink Goes Green Web site.  The public is also welcome to visit the Web site and Take the Pledge to practice a lifestyle that enriches our planet.
