Delta Zeta Visual Standards

Trademarks
Delta Zeta’s marks are registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. These marks include the name "Delta Zeta", the Greek letters (DZ), the badge and the Crest, as well as our brand, “Enriching.”  This is necessary to protect the intellectual property of the Sorority (such as the Sorority name, badge design, Crest and other Delta Zeta-specific symbols). If you need an image of the Crest, please e-mail us at dzs@dzshq.com, stating the purpose for which you will be using the Crest.  This is necessary to protect the integrity of our name. 

Allowing any company to use our trademarks without permission means that the Sorority has no control over how our intellectual property is used.  The Delta Zeta Standing Rules and Policies state that other entities shall not include any copyrighted material or trademarks owned by other sources without authorization of the copyright/trademark owner.

To download the files shown below, click on the link and choose File --> Save As or right click on the link and choose Save Target As to save file to your My Documents folder or to your computer’s hard drive.

Delta Zeta Letterhead
To add your chapter address to this stationery in Word:

  1. On the View menu, click Header and Footer to open the header or footer (header and footer: A header, which can consist of text or graphics, appears at the top of every page in a section. A footer appears at the bottom of every page. Headers and footers often contain page numbers, chapter titles, dates, and author names.) area on a page.
  2. Click on the switch between Header and Footer Button image on the Header and Footer toolbar (toolbar: A bar with buttons and options that you use to carry out commands. To display a toolbar, press ALT and then SHIFT+F10.) to move to the footer area, and then enter text or graphics.
  3. When you finish, click Close on the Header and Footer toolbar.

Instructions on Using Letterhead in Microsoft Word:

Open Microsoft Word.

Select File --> Open, find the letterhead Word doc you downloaded earlier and saved to your computer, then click on the file name.  This will open the file in Word.

Place your cursor within the document and begin typing.

Be sure to enter your chapter address by clicking on the field provided at the bottom of the letterhead when you are finished with the letter.

Click File --> Save As to save your letter.  Do not use the Save option, as you will save your letter over the letterhead template.

Any of the files can be taken to a printer to have stationery printed for your chapter.   Be sure to add your chapter’s address to the letterhead, using the instructions above, before giving the file to a printer.

Instructions for Using Envelopes in Microsoft Word

The envelopes can be printed from your computer using Microsoft Word, or any of the files can be taken to a printer to have envelopes printed for your chapter.   Be sure to add your chapter’s address to the envelope using the instructions below before giving the file to a printer:

Open Microsoft Word.

Select File --> Open, find the envelope Word doc you downloaded earlier and saved to your computer, and click on the file name.  This will open the file in Word.

Click on the first field provided below the Delta Zeta logomark to enter your chapter street address.

Click on the second field to enter your city, state, and zip code.

Click File --> Save As to save the envelope with your chapter name added.  Do not use the Save option, as you will save your customized envelope over the envelope template.
