DELTA ZETA SORORITY ANNOUNCES 2020 GLOBAL PHILANTHROPY INTERNS

 

(Oxford, OH) As Delta Zeta National Headquarters continues to support and empower our women to follow their shared value of curiosity and grow as lifelong learners, we are pleased to continue our successful Global Philanthropy Internship. After a competitive application process, five members have been selected for this opportunity.

The following have been selected:

  • Tahlia Amos is a member of the Xi Phi Chapter at the University of Missouri/Kansas City. She served as her chapter’s Vice President of Philanthropy in 2018 and Vice President of Membership in 2019. She is studying Psychology and Criminology.
  • Erica Dovin is a member of the Gamma Kappa Chapter at Kent State University. She served as her chapter’s Vice President of Membership in 2019. She has also served as her chapters Community Service Chairman and External Philanthropy Assistant. She attended a mission to Honduras with the Starkey Hearing Foundation in fall 2018. She is studying Human Development and Family Studies.
  • Jordan Gaydos is a member of the Pi Psi Chapter at California State University/San Marcos. She served as her chapter’s Vice President of Philanthropy in 2018 and served on her University Panhellenic Council as Vice President of Philanthropy in 2019. She is studying Human Development.
  • Bailey Recktenwald is a member of the Beta Gamma Chapter at the University of Louisville. She served as her chapter’s Vice President of Philanthropy in 2019 and Fundraising Chairman in 2018. She volunteered as a camp counselor at The Painted Turtle in 2019. She is studying Industrial Engineering.
  • Nicole Wedesky is a member of the Zeta Psi Chapter at Stephen F. Austin State University. She served as her chapter’s Vice President of New Member Education in 2019. She volunteered as a camp counselor at The Painted Turtle in 2018 and attended a mission to Guatemala with the Starkey Hearing Foundation in the summer of 2019. She is studying Communication Sciences and Disorders.

These five interns will work with the Director of Community Relations and Philanthropy to support the Sorority’s fundraising efforts for Hearing and Speech. They will gain insight into a fast-paced, non-profit organization while assisting with projects that are integral to the Sorority’s philanthropic and community service success. Additionally, the Global Philanthropy Interns will have the opportunity to participate in a Starkey Hearing Foundation International Hearing Mission!
