Truly Capital Campaign Exceeds Fundraising Goal

(Oxford, Ohio)  The Delta Zeta National Council charted a bold course for our Sorority through the strategic plan they laid forth four years ago. This course has allowed Delta Zeta to step up and lean in to support a culture of strong, empowered women who are confident to bring about change.

To help achieve this bold plan, the Delta Zeta Foundation immediately began working on the historic To Walk TRULY in the Light of the Flame capital campaign. This campaign was the largest in Delta Zeta history with a goal to raise $3.5 million to empower Delta Zeta sisters through member development and leadership opportunities. Michelle Albrecht Smith (Alpha Chi – California/Los Angeles), Past National President, and Virginia Gilbert Loftin (Alpha Gamma – Alabama), Past Foundation President, served as co-chairmen of this landmark campaign. With this effort and with the leadership from Council and the Foundation, we TRULY united in purpose and vision.

At the 2018 National Convention, the Delta Zeta Foundation announced that we have not only met the goal of $3.5 million, we have exceeded it and raised over $4 million! The funds raised with the TRULY capital campaign support the Sorority’s strategic plan to enhance every young member’s personal development and prepare her to be more. On behalf of the many thousands of members who will benefit from this campaign and the programming it will fund, we thank the Donors who made these opportunities possible.

Member development experiences will continue to be funded through the Foundation. Donations to the Member Development Fund may be made here or by contacting DZFoundation@deltazeta.org.
