National Volunteer Appreciation Week


WHEREAS, Delta Zeta Sorority inspires, prepares and mobilizes its 261,600 members to take action that changes the world; and

WHEREAS, thousands of Delta Zetas volunteer their time mentoring over 17,000 collegiate women and promoting the ideals of our Sorority; and

WHEREAS, during this week, service projects will be performed nationwide and volunteers, including Delta Zeta members, are recognized for their commitment to service; and

WHEREAS, volunteers are vital to our future as a caring and productive nation through local community connections and service organizations;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Diane M. Stecher, National President, do hereby proclaim

On behalf of National Council, I express our appreciation to each of our members for giving graciously of their time in their local communities, nationwide and throughout the world. By volunteering and recognizing those who serve, we cultivate a true spirit of giving to those who our lives touch in slight measure and truly change the world.
